The three best indie duets:

Kristin Hersh and Michael Stipe - Your Ghost
Drugstore (with Thom Yorke) - El Presidente
Morissey and Siouxsie Sioux - Interlude

Andrew is the Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader of the Buffy world (PDF reader required)

iPods - bite my shiny metal ass.

Batman Begins trailer Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

"The Invisible Man" - One of the best genre shows in the last few years. Shame it only lasted two seasons.

I was humming Your Ghost just this morning.

Love that song.

And did your iPod battery die or something?

Nah getting bored with all the hype and how so many article writers are telling their readers that they must get one.

I refuse to buy any portable player...

until they release one that understands all the major formats: .mp3, .aac, .wma, .ogg, etc.

I shouldn't be locked in to one music service in order to take my songs on the road.

So from that standpoint, I agree with you.

Erm... huh?

iPods can also play AIFF files, WAVs, and the most popular format, mp3's.

.wma is a lousy format from a sound quality view. .ogg is great, but takes up a lot of space compared to the others.

The problem is...

that not every song I want is on iTunes.

Some songs are released in .wma, and others are released in .ogg. Your points about format are taken, but it matters more to me to have the song.

And I shouldn't have to burn and rerip them just to put them on a portable player, iPod, Rio, or otherwise.

So I'm sitting out for the time being.
