Rome, Rome, There's no place like Rome
Nov. 3rd, 2005 10:29 amSo I watched the first episode of the much hyped BBC/HBO drama 'Rome'. First off, let me say the credits were particularly bad. But once you get past that, Rome is high camp on a hilarious scale. Some very good actors in it, but some appalling dialogue. Not quite sure that Mark Anthony would say "Ah Brutus, my old cock".
So if you miss Dallas and Dynasty, watch 'Rome'.

Date: 2005-11-04 08:10 am (UTC)It did well in the ratings incidentally. 6.6 million viewers (1.5 million more than Lost premier), best rating BBC2 have had since BBC1 atole have I got news for you, and Red Dwarf went off air. It also won the time slot by 2 million (BBc2 normally finish 4th)
