The fact that the West deals with this repressive government makes my stomach crawl. How long before there is a revolution there?

Date: 2006-04-13 01:57 pm (UTC)People who have been living in the same home for 50 years are now watching the homes around them get sold for room to build shopping centers. The developers then sue the remaining residents to force them to leave. the local government backs the developer and has the residents removed under eminent domain because the tax base will be increased by the shopping center and the entire community enhanced. Cases such as this have been taken through the courts recently and I believe the Supreme Court is due to rule soon, in favor of the developers/governments, if they haven't ruled already.
Huh?

Don't question why the West deals with China. Question why we can't take care of our own with any real justice and compassion first.
