The original Star Wars movies to come out on DVD. Hooray!! No crappy CGI to look at. And that news isn't a belated birthday gift for g_reaper then I don't know what is.

And of course the big genre TV news today, is that it looks like Christopher Eccelston (best Doctor Who eva) will play Number Six in Sky One's remake of The Prisoner.

Also, if you absolutely insist on remaking "The Prisoner" (though I have no idea why, as the original is as close to perfect as any TV show made,) you could do a lot worse than Eccelston.

Although anyone who promises a 'radical revisioning' usually means 'we're going to ruin it'. But so many good things have been coming from the other side of the pond telly-wise that I'll have hope. Plus I'd love to see CE play that uberserious role. I think he'd be great.
