"We feel this is exactly the type of provocative and mischievous programming that Channel 4 should be covering in the 11pm slot."

I say it's called scraping the bottom of the barrel and a highly cynical method to get press attention.

But can I just say that the emphasis that "this was started in the U.S." as though it's a major event here is a little disingenuous. I've never heard of this, or the organization behind it, and I really doubt it's gotten any sort of major TV coverage. Howard Stern, maybe, but that's hardly a cultural movement.

or any tv coverage, for that matter... san francisco is a little "out there" compared to the rest of the country as far as things of this nature are concerned...
