Robyn got her extended stay visa which is totally amazing good news.

Had bad dream about Dad last night which has unsettled me most of the morning.

Spike comic book didn't sell as well as I thought it would. Though there is apparently a "Spike and how camp he is" essay coming out soon.

The first Cyclon/Human war will get told but only in comic book form. So much for hoping to see it in flashbacks on Battlestar Galactica or on the Caprica spin-off. And the concept didn't come from Ron Moore but rather the writer of the comic book.

Torchwood draws even closer and closer. Hopefully it will be as good as the hype says it is.

Skyhigh is one of the best, most underrated movies I have ever seen. It is a fantastic film, I wish it had done better at the box office.

One of my students is a huge Buffy fan so that was like 10 minutes of teaching time lost to talking about the end of Angel.

I am going to make a special effort to see the new Bond movie in the cinema.

I just saw SkyHigh and I also liked it a lot.

Sky High is in my queue

I like Kurt Russell.

Hoping I am able to download Torchwood within a day or so of its airing.

I'm worried about the new Bond. I really wish the Broccoli family would take some more risks with the property. Several big stars and top-notch directors have expressed interest in doing Bond films (Spielberg among them) but the Broccolis don't want to lose any creative control. Unfortunately, this makes the movies not very distinctive of late.

And where's the "Spike is camp" essay going to be? Because he really, really is.

Have any of these people ever seen Angel when he's Angelus?!! He couldn't get any camper. On goes the 'leather trousers of doom', and the 'eyeliner of fear'. To say nothing of the camp hand gestures. :0

Yay to Robyn's visa.

And is Torchwood a Dr. Who spinoff, then?

(The Sarah Jane episode just aired here, BTW. Fun.)

Torchwood is a Doctor Who spinoff, centered around the yummy Captain Jack Harkness. See more here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/torchwood/index_nonflash.shtml

They put it on USA public broadcasting this past week. (Possibly the first time a TV-MA production was on Masterpiece Theater.)

I found it flawed, but still quite enjoyable in places. The design was very good.

No I missed it but I did enjoy his "The Second Coming" which I think is his best work to date.
