Oh a happy note

My sister got engaged today. Her boyfriend asked on a boat trip in Sardinia. And keeping in tradition with my family, he's American (from Portland of all places which re-affirms my opinion that it's the secret center of the world).

Also, he phoned my father last week to ask permission. Blimey! I didn't realise that still happened. Anyhow, it's all good news and I'm very pleased for the both of them.
