Why the first two episodes of Heroes are awful and why the just aired season of Eureka was better than Buffy or Angel.

Those Irish accents? Woeful. Absolutely woeful. Just plain bad. Julia Roberts in "Michael Collins" bad.

The Stark/Allison/Carter triangle? Probably the most convincing and honest relationship plot arc I have seen on telly. Fan may go on about the dynamism of the Buffy/Angel/Spike triangle but full kudos to the Eureka writers for not playing it safe. They showed Allison and Carter getting together. They also fleshed out Stark and made his character three dimensional. I'm not a shipper but I did like the idea of Carter and Allison getting together in season 1 but the writers totally turned that on the head with the portrayal of Alison and Stark in season 2. I loved seeing them try and work their differences out and Colin Ferguson deserves an Emmy for the way he handled his jealousy and how he moved on as a result.

The Eureka relationship arc lacked the emotional sucker punch that Buffy or Angel would produce but in terms of mature realistic writing it was on a far superor level.
