sombrefan: (Oh typical me)

It was as someone once remarked "very quiet indeed". The unseen novel that I create in my head each night before I go to bed is coming along nicely, at some stage the hero will have to make a difficult moral choice (oh noes!). But at least I have the dignity not to put it in nanomi format or what ever the fic term is. I have my pride after all. Which is more than I can be said for the book reading public of Belfast as my local W H Smith (think Barnes and Nobles) now has a "Tragic Lifestories" shelf. Utterly pitiful I agree but you do have to wonder about the mentality of the people who buy these books.

Delibrated whether to buy Dementium for the DS but may as well hold out to Xmas when I can play Silent Hill Origins on the PSP. Why go for a cheap knock off when you can have the real thing. Though I did manage to read Angel: After The Fall, the artwork is atrocious which unfortunately seems to be an IDW speciality but I did really enjoy the story. The wank about issue one was relatively quiet but the usual tired old suspects will be out in force pushing the same old anti/pro Spike agenda once issue 2 hits the streets. Also watched Lucky Number Slevin over the weekend which for my money is one of the best films of the last few years. I would kill for a Kiss Kiss Bang Bang/Lucky Number Slevin double bill in my local flea pit.

Anyway that's about the height of my mental fannish thoughts of the last few days well apart from the really private stuff but you're never going to hear that unless I get really drunk and decide to do a podcast and then alienate the fandom in one fail swoop.
