When my nephew got married, my (born-again) sister-in-law had some bumper stickers she was giving away. She asked my husband if she could put one on our truck; he took a look at it and promptly told her to go ask me.

It had a man symbol then a plus sign then and woman symbol then an equal sign then the word marriage.

man + woman = marriage.

I told her no as politely as I could manage to.
