It was very nice and clever and epic and adult BUT not as child-friendly as previous series. If it carries on down this path I wonder much longer it can survive.

't was a bit of deja vu for me with shades of Buffy in there: the monsters reminded me of The Gentlemen, and then there was the yellow school bus.

I think British children must be much smarter than American children, because nothing since 2005 has felt like a children's show to me.

And again, it's not like there's some law that it has to stay as a children's show, even if it defines itself that way now. Maybe it's because I'm not British and/or not a proper fan of the old series, but I don't see any problem with the show becoming all adult and complicated.
