Watched the Doctor Who TV movie for the first time in years, still as bad as I remembered it. Sure the series had ropy effects but it was fun and occassionally thought provoking. The mid 90s revamp for the American market with Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor is just pish. Bland bland bland rubbish. I wish that rumour that Tony Head was to play the ninth Doctor and David Fury was to write for the show had been true.

Anyway watched a documentary after it about Doctor Who and 60s British sci-fi pyschedelia. Highly entertained to see the greatest living comic book writer Alan Moore smoking a joint. Read interviews with him before but never seen him on the telly before. Mad as a hatter and a genius. Oh the penis thing. Yes, the documentary also featured 'Zardoz'. Has anyone else seen it? Sean Connery wearing a red nappy, taking orders from a giant floating head and getting kidnapped by eternal hippies who can't get it up anymore. Mad, awful, really bad film but just so addictive to watch. Must track it down on DVD.
