Another historic day *gags*
Oct. 21st, 2003 02:58 pmMore than 3000 dead here in Northern Ireland, most of them civilians, from 1969 to 1998 and we're only really entering the end game now.
IRA confirms second arms move
Eventually we'll see an end to private armies and all the terrorists becoming criminals of the common garden variety (well most of them are already). But it'll be nice to have a goverment run by Northern Irish wankers instead of British ones.
Every politician wants to be seen as international statesmen here (instead of little fish in a very big pond).
It's like a well choreographed ballet here. One side will make a move and then suddenly the other lot will and the British and Irish goverments will make moves as well.
You may ask the terrorists was it worth it? Certaintly the dead will say it wasn't.
Update
Sometimes even the most choreographed ballets can go wrong.
Peace process put on hold
Basically the Unionists don't trust the IRA. Cue egg on a lot of faces.
