I'm getting fed up of people I know dying

sombrefanLost five friends/people I grew up with in the last 13 years. The latest death was on Sunday, a really nice guy, year younger than me. Just died in his sleep. What makes it worst was that I was at his older brother's funeral 13 years ago. I don't even want to think how the parents are right now. To lose two sons.... well I can't imagine.
We're a small village, we've all known each other since the year dot. We swear at each other down the phone when we hear the news. We re-affirm our atheism. We resort to very black humour the night before the funeral. We cry. We get drunk. And we remember them.
R.I.P. J.H. I didn't know you as well as I should have but we grew up together and I thought you were a good man. Not many I can say that about.
