Stephen King or Dean Koontz King lost his title as America's greatest writer after Tommyknockers.
Barnes & Noble or Borders Waterstone's to be honest, it's more upmarket and refined. Barnes and Nobles is very relaxing but full of people sitting on the floor and serves ghastly coffee.
Waldenbooks or B. Dalton Waldenbooks has comic books.
Fantasy or Science Fiction Fantasy writers write 6 books which should have really been condensed into two. I'm mean when you see a title that says "The second book of the third trilogy of Elden the mystical Goblin" your natural instinct is to vomit.
Horror or Suspense Horror There are very few good horror writers left.
Bookmark or Dogear I have no idea what this means.
Fitzgerald or Steinbeck Fitzgerald is just an upmarket PG Wodehouse. Steinback is good but gawd do people fawn over his material.
John Irving or John Updike My dad was born in a town called Irvine
Le Guin or Emshwiller Having drunk Emshwiller whisky, it is not an experience I would wish to repeat.

Rice or Hamilton Ann Rice is single handly responisible for goth teenagers thinking that they have a valid life style. Get over yourselves.

Alphabetize: By Author or By Title I prefer bunging the book in a bookshelf and then looking for it months afterwards as you would be surprised what you find.

John Grisham or Scott Turow Grisham was good. But he's succumbed to his own hype and therefore his latest novels have meandering plots. Turow is very good indeed.
J.K. Rowling or Lemony Snicket Rowling. She's the best.

Historical Biography or Historical Romance Her heaving bosom sighed as Lord Peter came into the room blah blah blah
