I should have said it wasn't as bad as a massive heart attack but worse than a minor one. Make sense now? The doctors reckon he had it Thursday night/Friday morning and course dad has always had pains and continued to work and drive until this morning when Mum convinced to go to hospital.

He looked small in his bed but he was chatty and it was as if nothing had happened. But he needs to be taking early retirement when he comes out, cut down on his wine consumption and change his diet.

Thanks for everyone's kind wishes.

Sorry about all the ickyness, but things sound like they're levelling off now. still, I'll keep him, and you all, in my thoughts.

Exact same thing happened to my father years and years ago. for 2 days he thought he had the flu. Turns out it was a series of heart attacks.

So glad it was 'minor'

Hopefully the only damage was to his belief that he was living the healthy life.

No one likes to be forced to change one's ways, but I'm sure the doctor will give him a list of what must be done.

Hope rest of family is ok. I'm sure your mother was rather shaken by it all.

I'm glad he is resting well.

I will keep all of you in my thoughts, and hope that his new regimen does him good.
