Stowaway Chinese cat saved by diet of cardboard

A cat from China is starting a new life in the Peak District after surviving 28 days at sea sealed into a container on a ship that finally docked in Southampton. Ching, a four-month-old brown and white tom, was mousing inside the container when it was loaded at Shenzen.
During his lock-in he ate the cardboard packaging of the plates and vases in the container, washing it down with condensation from the walls. Undiscovered at the docks, he endured two more days on a lorry taking the goods north. After his quarantine he will stay in Derbyshire with ceramics importer David French.
Awwwwwwwww.
