I like Tony Blair. I voted for him in '97. And I'd vote for him again. He's a decent, bright, courageous man but will be forever tainted by Iraq.

I will quit within a year - Prime Minister.

Speaking of Iraq, has anyone read Fiasco by Thomas E. Ricks? A tour de force. Highly recommended reading.

As much as I dislike Blair, and have disliked him all along, I do feel a certain sense of better the devil you know than you don't, cause God knows what the next one will be like.

Interstingly they're predicting Labour will loose the Scottish elections in May if he stays, which would most likely leave the SNP as the majority, and then the fun and games would really start.

Is it too late for me to volunteer for some sort of artic mission?
