In a vague attempt to fool people into thinking that I believe in the democratic process, I'm going to let people choose my Christmas office dinner for me. One choice per course.

Starters
Traditional vegetable broth
Homemade chicken liver parfait
Potato and smoked bacon salad
Prawn cocktail
Smoked chicken rocket parmesan salad
Salad of baby new potatoes, asparagus, solid boiled egg and parmesan

Main course
Turkey with trimmings
Roast fillet of salmon
Sirloin of beef (2 pound supplement)
Linguine with wild mushroom
Honey-mustard roast pork loin

Dessert
Hot chocolate fudge cake, chocolate sauce and ice cream
Christmas pudding with brandy cream
Apple crumble with 5 spice and ice cream
Pavlova with fresh cream and berry compote
Selection of cheeses, biscuits and celery (1 pound supplement)

I have no opinion on the main course (Id probably go with the turkey though) but may I suggest the vegtable broth and hot chocolate fudge cake? Better yet, can you send me a food parcel of them?

Good job you're not a vegan, you'd starve.

I'd choose (if I weren't vegan):

Potato and smoked bacon salad
Turkey with trimmings
Apple crumble with 5 spice and ice cream

Yeah it's sadly lacking in veggie fare. But that's typical for Northern Ireland sadly.

That is wrong on so many levels...

Here's what I'd get:

Salad of baby new potatoes, asparagus, solid boiled egg and parmesan
Roast fillet of salmon
Apple crumble with 5 spice and ice cream

I'll have the smoked chicken for starters, then the linguine with wild mushrooms, and the hot chocolate fudge for desert, please.

Now what's the supplement to have it delivered to Brussels?

P.S.: I almost went for the porc loin, but then thought it's probably what we call a jambonneau, and that's a but too meaty for my taste.

Potato and smoked bacon salad
Roast fillet of salmon

Not that it matters. You probably can't go wrong with any of it.

Prawn cocktail
Turkey with all the trimmings
Christmas pudding with brandy cream

Of course our family dinners also include nine or more vegetables and at least two desserts, so for the second choice I'd go with the Pavlova!

Merry Christmas, Simon, whatever you choose.

My sugggestion :

Homemade chicken liver parfait
Honey-mustard roast pork loin
Hot chocolate fudge cake, chocolate sauce and ice cream

It does all look good, though. I spent way more time than necessary perusing that menu.
