I have this awful feeling
Apr. 19th, 2003 11:41 amAnyway I was looking at a recent photo of myself and I had this sinking feeling that I reminded myself of someone.
And do you know who it was?
Bruce Willis.
I can't remember if its when he guested in Friends or was in the Sixth Sense but it's cause he has a receding hairline. So that was really cheerful and strange. Thankfully though I have no urge to buy "the Return of Bruno".
Heavy Metal
I read one the best music journalist books yesterday. Called Fargo Rock City: A Heavy Metal Odyssey in Rural North Dakota and its by Chuck Klosterman. If you grew up in the 1980s and listened to heavy metal , its a real joy to read as I was nodding my head and thinking "oh thats so true".
US '90s American bands' albums I must buy on CD
Blakes Babies - Sunburn (mmmmmmm magic)
Sonic Youth - Dirty (reissued on CD with loads of B-sides as well including a fondly remembered track called Genetic)
Magnapop - Magnapop (Favourite Writer is a great track, and very catchy to sing too)
The Breeders - Last Splash (cause despite seeing them when they supported Nirvana 11 years ago I don't own any of their albums)
Superchunk - Superchunk (cause its the ultimate anthem on it Slackmotherf**ker)
Thats about it really.
Bye.
