Sarah Michelle Gellar really is the nearest thing to royalty in the fandom. I don't think any other actor, writer or even fan comes remotely close.

Ah bliss

I'm loving the coverage of the biggest sexism row ever. TV pundits do actually say things like

"Did you hear charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Do me a favour, love."

and ask their female co-presenters to drop microphones down their trousers.

And then get called out for it and sacked.

There's a big sea change in how the media is dealing with sexism in sport and harrassment. It's all good.

In the spirit of openness and cause I'm bored

People often ask "What emails do you get sent at Whedonesque?".

1) Press releases for all and sundry. "Celebrity Activist Danny Glover to Announce Human Rights Protest". Very interesting but not really relevant. And for some reason the Library of Congress loves to send us stuff.

2) People wanting to get in touch with Joss (note: we don't have direct contact details for him).

3) News emails from the entertainment sites.

4) News sites looking to be linked to because there's a relevant article for us.

5) Heads up from fans about stuff that's out there.

6) Mutant Enemy writers who have lost Joss' contact details.

7) And the occasional weird email.
