Dad was supposed to go in for his heart bypass surgery tomorrow morning (he had a heart attack about 14 months ago). But he phoned just there now to say that an emergency case had come in at the hospital and that he might not get his surgery tomorrow and if that happened he would be sent home.

And gods know when he will find out when the next date for his op will be.

I'm so sorry to hear this love. Such is the ongoing problems with the NHS that we get this sort of thing happening more and more often these days.

I do hope that they manage to line up another admission date for him real soon, and that all will flow smoothly from then on.
