Ooh, it's been a long time since I've seen Buffy in French (and this one I never saw because I missed it at the time or something or other).
frenchani does think it's horrendous though (the person dubbing Tara hasn't got as good a singing voice). Maybe I should watch it a time in French overdub (which I can because the Belgian dvds come bilingual).
Yep, that's the German version of dubbing: they don't do the music in musicals. (At least when it's just dubbed for tv.) So you get strange switches with the voices.
I did catch the odd Buffy-episode in German, but the religiously watching of Buffy didn't happen until LaDeux came with the daily episodes around dinner time. (And then I finaly got the dvds and got new daily episodes around dinner time, but with appropriate Dutch subtitles.)
Yeah, in Germany they kept the songs in the original and dubbed the dialogue. Badly most of the time. I just cannot watch Buffy or Angel in German - the voices seem so wrong and the quality of the writing mostly disappears.
It always makes me laugh, though, because they mostly use the same three people to dub tv shows into French, so I recognize the voices. It's like, hey, the guy doing Xander also does Jack Bauer on 24!

I'm just rambling on, aren't I?
