What exactly are Obama's policies?

Apart from change, what does he stand for? Hilary I know about, Obama not so much.

PDF formatted "Blueprint for Change." A summary of all his positions: http://www.barackobama.com/pdf/ObamaBlueprintForChange.pdf

If that's too lengthy? It's broken up on his website: Barack Obama Issues

I like his health care plan quite a bit. There's a lot of verbiage in that and in other policies that includes competition. We have a monopoly problem, here. In his plan there's a lot of language regarding choice. You don't have to have health insurance if you're over 18 and don't want it. and there's room also for states rights.

Is that too vague? He's pretty typical democrat: pro-choice, healthcare overhaul, anti-war...with the added bonus of actually being able to form complete sentences and an understanding (which can be seen in his policy language) that complex problems have complex solutions that need a variety of approaches stemming from both conservative and liberal principles. National healthcare, sure, but we need to make sure labs are well-funded, and that we encourage competition to keep prices from soaring.

The way things work now, laws that protect us against monopolies have been systematically watered down so that you end up with Corporation Kane competing against Corporation Kodos, and it's just the same shit at the same price. There's only a small handful of pharmaceutical companies in the US, and without a competitive market, the economy goes to shit.

So I think he's more nuanced about this change thing.

I've been afraid to say the same thing for fear of being lynched around here but this is exactly how I feel.
I think the Simpsons really put it best though:
"We must move forward... not backwards, not to the side, not forwards, but always whirling, whirling, whirling towards freedom!"
