This was a triumph
Apr. 18th, 2008 10:57 pmIt was a funny old couple of days. I had intended to stay in the flat today and do some marking. But unfortunately events or rather chewing gum dictated otherwise. As yesterday I was helping a student in labs and chewing gum and yes a huge hunk of a filling came out. Luckily I didn't let on as the student would have left feeling completely nonplussed. Fortunately I managed to get an emergency private appointment today and got another filling. Happily the tooth was dead so no injections (yay!) and it only cost me 50 quid (100 US dollars).
After that, I went into the city centre and collected my new glasses and got some comfy shoes as well (Red Herring for those who care about the label). Almost I forgot that I took the piss out of the Spuffies and Bangels fighting over at the Dark Horse forums (yes the war still goes on and its still as funny as ever) the night before so I checked to see if anyone took the bait. Tragically I'll never know about one side as they like to hide their forums as its a safe haven for them.
Also watched Transformers. What a superb movie. Full of military men and machines in slow-mo and epic music. The SFX were pretty damn good and very convincing.
