I think my main problem with Palin is that she comes over as a character Frank Miller could have written circa Dark Knight Strikes Again.

And if we're going with not that obvious popculture references, McCain is Indiana Jones and Obama is the Noel Coward character from In Which We Serve. Both very good things really.
