Yeah, some fans will always take things too far, but one shouldn't judge a show by its fanbase. I have genuinely liked most of what Joss has done (except for Buffy S6), but the man isn't God... or even 'a' god. He's just a very talented man who writes some damn good television.

I was a huge fan of Heroes the first season, but I have no trouble admitting that it has royally sucked since then. It was a one-trick pony that performed its trick and needs to be sold to the glue factory.

Funny, most of the shows I watch are mentioned in the talkback (BSG, Lost, Arrested Development, Veronica Mars, Smallville, Supernatural, etc.) but I've never been the kind of fan that tries to convert people. I've introduced a few to Buffy and Arrested Development, because I felt they were misunderstood by the mainstream, but the crazy, over-the-top fandom stuff is only serving to give good shows a bad name.
