Oh I'm sure If the PRB hadn't canceled it then there would have been a fanbase arguing amongst themselves at some point. Every popular show has one.

The new SFX has a feature on it. Apparently Channel 4 never asked for a followup. Does that count as cancelled?

I count that as the British disease. Really good show comes along but no one ever bothers to follow it up. Bit like what happened here.

Well as the BBC have bugger all money for shows right about now, the only way we'll see anymore TW is If RTD gets the Yanks to do it, and considering thats Fox, well,....
