Amazing book and the best of the series to date.

Despite Rowling throwing a few red herrings in the book, the big death wasn't that shocking. I'd liked Sirius but I wasn't really that bothered by his death than say for example had Arthur Weasley actually died. But excellent character development for Harry Potter and the prophecy about him and Voldemort will be very interesting reading when the seventh book comes out. The series seems to be developing like Buffy did over its 7 years. But I just can't see it being made into a single movie, it's too big. Though I'd love to see the final fight scene on the big screen, that was something akin to Star Wars. I haven't been this excited reading a book in years.

I was worried...

That it was just me about the Sirius thing. I mean, it set in fairly quickly, but it DEFINITELY didn't affect me as deeply as I would have figured a big death would have. I loved Sirius, but HARRY'S reaction moved me more so than the actual death, I guess.

*sniff*. Poor Mr. Weasley... I thought he was done for. But yay!

And dude. Talk about red herrings. It seemed all the things I'd been told to expect were either... not there, or... grossly exagerrated in their initial... foretelling?

But yeah. I agree. Amazing book. :)
