Now that my LJ has become the Rick's Café Américain for various interested parties in the fandom, I thought I would ask this question:

Which relationship is more interesting in Buffy Season 8, Buffy/Angel or Buffy/Spike?

Neither. Both parties comes across to me as bearing very little to the characters as seen in the TV series.

Neither of them. Buffy/Angel didn't respected Angel feelings for Cordelia and Buffy/Spike doesn't exists in this season.

Agreed, neither is particularly interesting. And really I maintain my assertion that whoever is writing this seems to have forgotten many major events that happened past S3 of Buffy.

I don't think either is very interesting on its own- but the [exaggerated] contrast between the two is fascinating.

I second coalitiongirl. The so-called romances/relationships of season 8 are all a bit dull (despite many good setups and opportunities). Only when i contrast/compare (including realtionships from the TV show) i do find something interesting.

I mean take B/A for example: On it's own (in season 8) it is just a satire/slapstick. Of a really shitty cliche. Who needs that?

Casablanca reference FTW!

Watching B/A self-destruct has been amusing to the baser parts of my psyche, but I gotta go with Coalitiongirl - the contrast is what's interesting.

If by interesting you mean horrifying and gross....
