Let's say I am a new fan of Buffy and I've watched all the seasons on DVD and want to find more online. How accessible is Dreamwidth to new fans like me? Can I search easily for the stuff I like? Are the communities big enough for ongoing discussion? How do I join?

I'd be reading bits and bobs about that Spuffy community that jumped ship to Dreamwidth, so it's been in my mind the last couple of days.

I have an account I really only use for reading other journals. I know almost nothing about it other than it seems to be like Live Journal and people talk of RSS Feeds (which I'm sure I should find out about.)

Anyway, a little while back DW sent out an email with codes. I only got the one because I'm not a big contributor but it's yours if you want it.

Content of the email was like this:

Invite your friends!

You can use that code any way you want: to create secondary accounts for yourself, to invite friends or family, or to pass on to others. Here are the codes, one per line:

Hope it works?????
