I knew bringing cheese into the house was a mistake and last night proved me right. I never learn.

Hotter than yesterday. Deciding whether or not to sue Lynx under the Trade Descriptions Act. No way in hell is their anti-perspirant deodorant working. 24 hour dry protection my ass. Have gone off Robia LaMorte as a result.

Watched hilarious documentary about thirty 16 yr olds being taught under 1950s conditions. Addictive watching. Especially when seventeen of them failed a test that 11 yr olds had to sit back in the 50s.

Update
Here's the website for the TV show if anyone is interested, there's tests and stuff.

And I'm constantly disappointed by the statistics in the school system, but there are lots of factors that go into how well a student does. What are the standards guiding the level of ability of the teachers? Do parents actually become involved in the learning process? Are students motivated to achieve, or are they content with mediocrity or less?

I didn't actually take the test

but I flipped through the pages and there was NO way I could have finished it in the 45 minutes alotted...

Seems a lot like the SATs, only I am pretty sure you got two hours to do those!!!

And I think about this test the same thing I think, and many people these days, think about the SATs...they don't test knowledge, they test test taking ability...

Exactly why is cheese an issue?

Did it cause stomach irritation?
Was your house overrun by mice?
Did your roommates complain about your 'stinky cheese'?
Was there not enough cheese and you dreamt about it all night?
