Like Father, Like Son
Sep. 19th, 2003 07:28 amLast night mum phoned me to say that she stayed overnight in our local hospital on Wednesday. She felt minor painful twinges in her head that she had not felt before so dad immediately took her to Casualty where the doctors took her blood pressure etc. Best bit is that she didn't even get a bed to sleep on. They put her on a trolley and made her sleep in the corridor.
You can't imagine how I felt especially as I really would have liked to have been told Wednesday night about what was going on. Tried to ask my dad why he didn't tell me about it as soon as he could. But got no sensible reply just that he got back late after seeing that mum was ok. Anyway mum seems to be fine and hopefully she'll phone the specialists in Belfast who operated in her to see what they say.
This all brought back memories of that night in November. A night I try not to think about. Worst night of my life.
Just would have been nice to have been told.

I'm sure they were worried about worrying you.
