Mum took my dog to the vets earlier and brought her to sleep. 13 years. Poor old thing. But it was the right choice. Deaf, senile and her back legs were sore and she was panting a lot which put strain on Jo's heart. But I'll miss her, she was my dog. I take her for walks on the beach or upto the forest so I could think. I'd talk to her and she would always be pleased to see me. When I came home at the weekend, she'd be at the end of the drive, wagging her tail looking out for me and would run back to the house when she saw me. Loved that dog.

I'm so sorry for your loss. Reading this (http://www.oes.org/html/the_rainbow_bridge_poem.html) helped somewhat when I lost my first dog.
