And hello to my European lurkers.

So I was pondering the US TV shows that be probably shown on satellite and cable TV in January and trying to work out which ones I would like to see.

1) Enterprise --- word is that this show has picked up in the third series and I like the idea of a new foe which threatens Earth.
2) Tru Calling -- despite some of the uncalled for attacks on this show, I'm going to give it a chance. Some Buffy fans have criticised it on the premise that Eliza dared to do her own thing and not do a Faith spinoff.
3) Nip/Tuck -- this was on TNT? Not sure. Anyway Sky are advertising it like mad and it's obvious that they want it to be a big winter hit. Has any one here seen it? Don't think I've seen it mentioned on my friends LJ page.
4) Angel - nuff said. And hello to Ultimate Drew if you're lurking ;).
5) Miss Match - only cause Charisma seems to be a semi-regular on it.
6) Stargate - yes it's showing here already but I think it's going on a break till we catch up with the new episodes in the States. It's not bad but I'd like to see more of a plot arc.
7) Carnivale - I really hope this gets picked up in the UK. Everyone seems to be raving about it. I miss Twin Peaks and this sounds like a perfect replacement.
8) That George Clooney Washington D.C. political drama (forget what it's called). Now your man who did Doonesbury did a TV series with Robert Altman back in the 80s called Tanner '88 which was a mockumentary about a fictional Democratic presidential candidate, well worth watching if it comes up in re-runs. Anyway George's new show reminds me of that and since I love US politics I'll be watching it. Which leads me to
9) The West Wing - which I watch occassionally but it's a bit wishy washy liberal and great character dialogue seems to have gone off the boil.
10) Jake 2.0 - Neither here nor there on this one but since a former Buffy head honcho is involved I'll keep an eye out.
11) Smallville - apparently this is the best season to date (which is not saying much) so if it has moving from its Buffy cloned monster of the week episodes I'll be watching. And the gouy who plays Lex is the best thing in it. Clark/Lex all the way :).
12) The O.C. - just to see what all the fuss is about. Apparently the dialogue is getting close to Whedon penned Buffy episodes or something like that.

And that's it really. This took up a bit of my lunchtime and took my mind off which is always a good thing. I'd be eternally grateful if anyone has anything to say about the 11 shows I wrote about.
