Highs and lows of the Jossverse in 2003
Dec. 17th, 2003 10:04 amIn no particular order (and I'll be adding to these lists as I go along)
Lows
Fans attacking Sarah and Eliza for getting on with their lives and not wanting to be Buffy and Faith for ever.
A slightly mediocre second half of Buffy season 7.
The whole Charisma versus James argument after it was revealed she wouldn't becoming back and he would be a regular for Angel season 5. Much bitterness and name calling ensues.
The David Boreanaz European Event - the fall out from that will plague the British convention scene for years to come.
No Lilah- instead we get Eve who gets criticised for a while until she gets a much needed storyline.
Nick Brendon's pilot not getting picked up.
Marti Noxon, Tim Minear and Jane Espenson depart.
Complete spoilage for Angel season 5 (boo).
Piss poor sites nicking spoilers from private posting boards.
FOx UK milking the Buffy DVD cash cow for all its worth.
Anya dies.
No more wildfeeds from Leoff, an end to a much loved Buffy fan tradition.
Highs
'Chosen' - Joss rewrites the Slayer mythos and gives a very fitting end to the show.
Spike's caustic and witty comments on Angel.
The mysterious return of Christian Kane in 'Destiny'- what a cliff hanger.
The release of the Chance DVD which proves Amber Benson is a very talented young lady and James Marsters and Andy Hallet can act pretty damn well.
The release of the Firefly DVD - attracts many new fans and gives Joss incentive for the movie.
Andrew - Tom Lenk becomes a much loved figure in the eyes of Buffy fans.
Alyson and Alexis get married.
Drew Goddard moves to Angel.
Caleb and Jasmine - best big bads in a long time.
Complete spoilage for Angel season 5 (yay).
Faith appearing on Angel and Buffy.
David Boreanaz guesting for the last two episodes of Buffy season 7.
Slo mo Wes firing guns.
