Yesterday we had Joss referring to Sarah as the actress who plays Buffy and now David Boreanaz drops a bombshell and criticises her decision not to appear on Angel this year.

Would he really have said that, or could this just be some over-eager paraphrasing? I always thought that DB and SMG were quite chummy.

But hmmm *cackle* I love it when things like this pop up. Real shame about SMG's non-appearance. Unless it's all just a ruse to interest more people?...

Why?

I mean I doubt that DB appeared on BtVS for SMG, it was something he did for either himself, for Joss, or for the whole cast/crew. Why should SMG be required to do the same thing for his show? I'm sure in her mind, doing seasons 6/7 were her "sticking it out for the fans".

Her contract is up, she's moved on with her life, and she's got other things that she's chosen to have higher priorities. Good for her. I love going back to visit my old work places, but I'd be pretty annoyed if they told me that I needed to promote their company just because the work I did there helped me get my new job.

And it gets ugly....
